The Need of Vitamin C
Vitamin C has several important effects on health. First, vitamin C is one of the most effective antioxidants as it helps free radicals preventing cell and tissue damage. In addition, it helps the body oppose infection in case of illness. Moreover, it help both mother and body stay healthy for nine months. Furthermore, it is essential for tissue recondition. Finally, it is important in producing collagen (Hareyan: 2005: 1).
